From beautiful coastal ecosystems, to rivers, lakes, and springs, water is part of Florida’s identity and fundamental to life. This talk will tell the story of Florida’s marine and freshwaters over the past 50 million years using evidence from fossils.
Bruce MacFadden is Distinguished Professor at the Florida Museum of Natural History, University of Florida. He is the author of more than 200 scientific publications on fossils, paleontology, and science and society.
