“Florida State History from the 1700s”
Not until 2056 will an American flag have flown over Florida longer than a Spanish flag. This lecture explores how Spanish rule shaped Florida, why Spain lost control the first time, Britain’s 20-year occupation and its impact, and Spain’s role during its second period of colonization.
